My Personal Story of Censorship by the Zionist gatekeepers

On 5 March 2026, I experienced a moment that no social media user should ever face. Within hours of posting a link to an article I had written, one that was examining controversial pro Israeli narratives that were being subtly injected into the news cycles, my Facebook account was permanently deleted.

Sixteen years of personal memories—photos, videos, posts, comments—vanished in an instant.

Holidays with my children, birthdays, sport and just plain funny moments all gone.

This wasn’t just a technical glitch or a temporary suspension. Facebook concluded that I had engaged in “fraud and deception.”
Keep in mind I had never been suspended in my 16 years on Facebook.

Despite providing clear identification: a photo of myself, my driver’s licence, and my passport. The content that disappeared included my professional milestones and countless posts documenting my journalistic work.

The speed and finality of the deletion highlights a disturbing reality:

“ Social media platforms hold immense power over our personal histories.”

I wasn’t targeting Facebook with illegal content or spam—I had simply shared information and expressed what was the facts and what could happen if we consider pass government actions that end up to be fabricated.

Yet, the platform acted decisively, erasing nearly two decades of life moments without dialogue or a clear path to recovery.

The deletion also raises larger questions about censorship, narrative control, and free speech online. My article, which scrutinized pro-Israeli commentators and the narrative surrounding Iran’s nuclear capabilities, was the post that triggered this action. The connection between my reporting and the deletion underscores the risks journalists face when challenging powerful narratives online, especially when speaking out against the sate of Israel or the powerful people who support it.

In the wake of this loss, I have been forced to rebuild my presence from scratch. I am now sharing content, updates, and news on X and Telegram, platforms that allow me to reach my audience without fear of sudden erasure. My Telegram channel, @ILONWorldnews, is now a hub for continuing the conversations that Facebook shut down.

This experience is a cautionary tale: social media platforms are no longer just tools for connection—they are gatekeepers of our digital lives, and sometimes, they exercise that control without transparency or accountability. The question every user must consider is: how much of your personal history are you willing to entrust to a platform that can delete it in a single decision?

I share my story not only as a personal warning but as a call to awareness. While I have been forced to start over, my commitment to reporting, sharing knowledge, and documenting facts remains unbroken. The digital landscape is shifting, and for those of us who value free expression and the preservation of our personal histories, vigilance is more important than ever.
