On 3 September, my new documentary, Oscar Jenkins: The Australian They Left Behind, will be released.
After travelling from Vladivostok through Moscow and on to Lugansk, I was able to sit down with Oscar Jenkins and hear his story in his own words — his decision to go to Ukraine, his experiences on the front, his injuries, capture and life as a prisoner in Russia.
